IMATS 2013 haul! (and pictures from IMATS)
14:55
Hello everyone!
I am aware that my blog has come to a dreadful standstill and this is due to the vast amount of exams i have had over the past few months. However, we must move past this as now i can say that i am on holiday without a care in the world (apart from the large amount of summer work i have, ugh).
So, a few weeks ago, my best friend and i went to IMATS in London. If you don't know what this is, it is the International Makeup Artist Trade Show. Basically a lot of very talented artists and discounted makeup.
Here is my not very large haul of what i bought, enjoy!
So the first thing i bought was this double pallet from Inglot. It fit two of these eyeshadows and the whole thing came to about 8 or 9 quid. There are so many to chose from but i decided to go with these two which go really well together. I actually wore these two colours for my prom makeup.
The First colour is number 11 and it has a shimmery finish, not glittery. It looks fairly pink in this picture and also when you look at it, however once swatched or applied, it does come out much more golden. I have been wearing this all over the lid with the other colour in the crease or another matt brown (MAC charcoal brown, omega etc).
Ok, so this second colour is number 409. It is a warm brown with a tiny bit of golden shimmer. It also has a slight hint of copper in it. This colour works so well with this other one and it is really beautiful.
The next this i bought is also from Inglot. This is a blush pallet for one blush (i think you can get them for more than one). The blush colour number is 29. It is a coral/pink colour and very pigmented so you really only need a little bit to achieve a lovely colour.
This next thing i have been wanting to get for about 6 months. I do a lot of acting and therefore need a good foundation which will make me look nice even when i have been sweating under the stage lights. This foundation, MAC's face and body, does just the job. It is actually very sheer when you first put it on but you can build it up to make it have a lot more coverage. The finish on the skin is almost a bit dewy but you can powder your face if you don't like that look.
The shade i bought was C3
Now for brushes!
The company which sponsors the event is called Royal and Langnickel and they sell brushes. The discount is ridiculously good and i got some brushes from there that i have wanted for a while.

Brush No.1; a detailer brush. Perfect for doing the inner corner of the eye.
Brush No.2; angled brush. Amazing brush, perfect for gel eyeliner, especially doing a gorgeous flick.
Brush No.3; Large pointed fluffy brush. Good for crease contouring and blending.
Brush No.4; Small pointed crease brush. This fits perfectly into the crease to add just enough colour.
So now the haul is over, here are some pictures of the creative and prosthetic makeup. It was all seriously amazing.
